What is the real purpose of a herb grinder, and what can you use it for?

If you have been given a herb grinder as a gift, but are not quite sure what its’ purpose is or what you yourself could do with it, here are a few suggestions you may find are things you soon love to do.

 

Grind up your marijuana — The main purpose for a custom wholesale grinder or herb grinder is to grind up marijuana, even if the manufacturers often say it is for grinding up herbs you will cook with.

 

This tends to be done for a couple of reasons. First, ground marijuana is far easier to roll into a joint, as the grinding makes the herb finer.

 

Second, some people put their marijuana into bread, brownies, cookies, cakes, puddings and many other dishes. Ground down into a much finer substance, it is easier to mix into a dish, as it spreads through the entire mixture much better.

Grinding Italian herbs for pizza and Italian dishes — Most Italian dishes have a liberal application of herbs added to them. Whether they are pizzas, lasagnas, spaghettis or other typical Italian dishes.

 

Grinding the Italian herbs for a pizza or a lasagna will allow you to sprinkle them liberally all over or into any Italian dish, without your family or your guests having to deal with mouthfuls of small branches and leaves.

 

Use the herb grinder for herbs like Italian herb mixes, rosemary, basil or oregano, and watch your guests’ faces light up in surprise when they taste how fabulous their food now is.

 

Which type of herb grinder to buy? — With several designs of herb grinder on the market, there are a few things you should consider before you buy one.

 

Do you just need a simple herb grinder that will grind both marijuana and any other herbs you are going to use into one type of grind? Or do you need a herb grinder with two or more compartments, so that the marijuana kief can be separated from the rest of the herb?

 

Decide if you will be using the herb grinder primarily for marijuana, or if you will use it mainly for cooking. Once you know how you are likely to use it the most, then you can choose the right model and size for the uses you will put it to.
